I am confused here about which of these two be used to denote "making an appointment"
Well, CITARSE i know definitely means "to make an appointement" but in the books and some sites the non reflexive form citar also has "to make an appointment" as one of its multiple meanings.
I have an example here : "me he citado con el jefe a los cuatro" (CITARSE -Reflexive). and another example : "me citó a la salida del cine" (i have copied and pasted this example from the dictionary section of this site).
Now in both of these aforementioned examples the context is the same (which is to make an appointment or arrange to meet) but whereas the first one employs the reflexive the later employs the non reflexive forms respectively. It renders me completely discombobulated and confused :( I have already read the previous threads on the usage of citar/citarse but couldn't figure it out ..
