Jul 01 - Gustar-like verbs...I need help figuring out these sentences :) Gracias!!

Hola!

Okay, I'm learning Spanish over the summer and I'm super confused on these two questions. I tried to understand it, but didn't get very far...can someone tell me what it's supposed to be and WHY? Thank you!!

1. Students, do these sentences seem difficult to you? (Ironically, yes...)
2. The first test turned out very badly for lots of people.

Update: Since a lot of people are saying I need to make an attempt at the question, here's what I thought before I posted the question here.

1. ¿Estudiantes, esas frases os parecen muy dificiles?
2. El primer examen les resulta muy mal. (but then I have no idea how to include "many people...")
