I will come back to this forum to put in the beginning of the story. Just to fill you in, it started with dichoso - About a man being blessed to have survived being lost in the Colombian jungle. This is the story of Juan and his adventures. At this stage Juan is still in the jungle. A bird has been shot by some hunters and has just fallen close to Juan.

Please crit my use of language as well as my grammar.

He saw the dead bird on the ground not very far from where he was sitting. He had to be careful that the hunters did not see him. Juan was shaking with fear surrounded by strange sounds and sounds of people talking.

Suddenly two men came into view through the trees. One of them had a paper in his hand. They were concentrating on the dead bird in front of them. The bird that they killed. Then Juan saw that it was the Bearded Bellbird. Why did they want to kill it? The man with the paper in his hand bent down, picked up the Bellbird and started wrapping it up in the paper.
