Nov 08 - demasiado as adverb or adjective

The word of the day sentence, I believe, is not using "demasiado" correctly. "

No puedo trabajar en cafés; son demasiados ruidosos. I can't work in coffeeshops; they're too noisy.

I'm pretty sure that it should be "demasiado," the adverb, as opposed to "demasiados," which would be a limiting or quantifying adjective, e.g. El tiene demasiados carros/autos (He has too many cars).

Do you agree? Thanks.
