Aug 06 - Watching movies with English subtitles vs. Spanish subtitles...

okay guys, i started learning Spanish a while back, i know a few vocabularies and verb conjugations. But i'm not totally done with verb conjugations. I learned present, past (preterite) and future tense (a bit but still gonna start it over).

So i wanted to start watching movies in Spanish to atleast familiarize myself with how they speak. But I was wondering, at this level of spanish, should i watch with English or Spanish subs?

Note: When watching with Spanish subs i could get the gist ( but not in full details) of the movie and i would need to check up words every minute and a 2 hours movie might go 4 hours (but if its worth the time, i dont mind) Also, at timeas, the subs differ from what the audio says. Follow subs or audio?

So what are your thoughts on this? I would especially like to hear from those that learned spanish as a second language (im assuming they would have better idea of what its like).

And btw. i wouldnt understand the movie at all without subs. Im not used to their way of speaking i guess.

Thanks!
