Hi,
Just curious as to whether or not it is okay in Spanish to say 'hago' as a short-cut for a different verb.
ie. '¿Te lavas los dientes?''Hago.''Do you brush your teeth?''I do.'
This probably isn't the best example to use as you could just say 'sí', but I have to translate a piece where it says, 'Tomatoes don't taste as good as they used to!''Oh, but they do - they really do.' and I was wondering if it would be okay to use the verb hacer to say 'they do' rather than saying 'they taste'.
