Dec 12 - Ratón for computer mouse?

I'm currently in Ecuador, and a native Spanish speaker said they don't use "ratón" to describe the mouse of a computer. Rather they say "mouse". I asked what they say if it's plural, and the answer made me laugh: los mouses

I am wondering if ratón is used in other Spanish speaking countries, or did I just make it up? I must have heard it somewhere.

Thanks! Scott
