My understanding is that the above term is the English equivalent of 'I could do with.....'.
Unfortunately, my level of Spanish isn't at a stage where I can form complex constructions so I wasn't sure how you would say something like 'I could have done with your Italian', for example. I know 'haber' is the form of having done something but if randomly typing possibilities into Google is anything to go by, it doesn't seem to fit in this instance!
