Dec 22 - a sus anchas

I found the following sentence in a magazine:

Los cubanos viven así, sin poder moverse a sus anchas.

Apparently, in this sentence "moverse a sus anchas" means to "move around as they please" or "move around freely."

Does anyone have an example or examples of "a sus anchas" being used in a similar sense?
