I just read an article in La Nacion (a newspaper from Argentina) and in the article there is a quote that ends with "deslizó". When I google translate deslizar it says that it means slip or slide which in my mind is rather strange to use as something close to "say". Does it actually mean he said (or similar) here or does it mean something completely different?
Here is the part of the article:
"A la tarde estuvieron pidiendo ayuda, a ver si teníamos algo para vender, preguntando cuántos dólares de cerealeras quedan", detalló un operador. "Pero, al mismo tiempo, las cerealeras se quejaban de que mientras les piden dólares, por otro lado les aumentan la presión impositiva", deslizó.
